You could lose your NCD if you have to make a claim, even if the accident isn’t your fault. For example,
if your vehicle is hit by a third party who is uninsured.
You can avoid this by choosing to protect your NCD. This means that you can make two claims in five years
without losing next year’s discount.
This is the most ‘comprehensive’ type of cover you can get. You may have heard it being
called 'fully comp'. In short, it covers you and your vehicle against accidents, covers
for both theft and damage to your vehicle and can compensate a third party. See policy

If an accident is your fault, this type of cover insures you for damage to another person,
their vehicle and property. Your vehicle will also be covered in the event of it being
stolen or damaged by fire. Any other damage to your vehicle outside of the above is not

This is the minimum level of cover you can legally have for your vehicle, as required by the Road Traffic Act. It covers your
